Makeup- The Benefits of Going Organic

Whether you're looking to emphasize, illuminate, enhance, minimize, highlight, or perfect your skin tone, cosmetics are definitely out there in all shapes, sizes, formulas, and price ranges.

More and more these days, large cosmetic companies are marketing their "all natural" or "mineral makeup" cosmetics to women searching for the "perfect performing" makeup.

One of the biggest problems with makeup today is that it's getting more and more expensive and often fails to deliver all of those golden promises.

Women are still wasting millions of dollars on makeup and makeup brands that often get lost in a drawer somewhere because no matter how fancy the packaging or convincing the marketing campaign, the product just never delivers.

Unlike huge cosmetic companies, CLEAR SKIN Minerals is an up and coming organic silk mineral makeup company that offers more then empty promises at reasonable prices with personal service and detail.

Acne safe makeup, beautiful full coverage and perfect color matching are what we offer every woman who visits our shop and takes an interest in making the change to organic makeup.

What we don't use...

Parabens or Preservatives

Recent studies have shown that parabens used in traditional cosmetics may have dangerous long term side effects which include: certain cancers, hormonal disruption, DNA damage and accelerated aging.  These ingredients are usually hidden behind fragrance terms or may very well be some or all  of those ingredients that you can't even pronounce.

Bismuth Oxychloride

Bismuth is a chemical compound and it's neighboring elements are: tin, lead, antimony, and polonium.  Bismuth isn't safe for cosmetics in its purest form so it's refined and combined with other inorganic elements to form Bismuth Oxychloride.

Cosmetic companies use it because it provides a silky-effect, adhesive properties for a longer lasting makeup and has light refracting properties which tend to hide certain skin flaws like discolorations, fine lines and wrinkles.

Although not toxic or life threatening, this ingredient is one of the main causes of allergic reactions, irritation, break outs, and facial itching in mineral and traditional makeup.  Those with sensitive or acne prone skin should never use products that contain this ingredient.

Cruelty Free

Organic mineral makeup companies refuse to use animals in their testing process and refrain from using animal products in their makeup.  This provides a great option for vegans or those concerned with how animals are treated in testing facilities.
